We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our team at Verovian Nursing Agency in Binghamton, New York.
Salary InformationThe estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $85,000, based on national averages for Emergency Room Nurses in the United States.
Job DescriptionResponsibilities:
- Administer medications and perform emergency procedures to stabilize and treat patients in critical conditions.
- Accurately assess patients' conditions to prioritize care based on the level of their injuries or illnesses.
- Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and medication responses, making adjustments to guarantee their stability and recovery.
- Collaborate with physicians, other healthcare professionals, and support experts to coordinate medical care, communicate information, and provide the best possible outcomes for patients.
- Offer emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during times of emergency and uncertainty.
- Accurate and thorough documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes is essential for the continuation of care and legal considerations.
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections in the dynamic and occasionally congested ER setting.
- Stay updated with the latest medical innovations, techniques, and emergency protocols to deliver the best care possible in critical situations.
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A valid New York Registered Nurse license.
- A bachelor's degree in nursing.
- BLS and ACLS certification, particularly from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Additonal certifications include certifications in Emergency Nursing (CEN) or Trauma Nursing (TNCC) to demonstrate specialized knowledge and expertise in emergency care.
- Experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) can be beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills are desired.
