Electrophysiology Specialist

The Medical University of South Carolina's Clinical Neurophysiology Department is seeking a skilled Electrophysiology Specialist to join our team. As an Electrophysiology Specialist, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive assessments, documentation, and education under general supervision of the EEG Coordinator, Unit leader or designee. This includes performing basic routine and continuous video EEG studies, as well as providing guidance, mentoring, and education to lower-level technicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform EEGs in accordance with the 10-20 system outlined by ACNS.
- Perform EEGs in accordance with departmental guidelines, policies, and procedures on patients of all ages.
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and education to lower-level technicians.
- Monitor in-patient vEEG/LTM for an uninterrupted, clean recording.
- Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills.
- Interact professionally and interpersonally with hospital staff, physicians, patients, and family.
- Effective communication with all members of the interdisciplinary team, patient, and family.
Requirements
- High School Degree or Equivalent.
- 2 years of work experience.
