About the Role

This role involves generating regular financial reports, engaging with customers for timely payment, identifying past due accounts, and resolving issues by sending reminders and/or account statements via email or phone calls.

Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Generate detailed reports on paid and unpaid invoices, as well as other accounts receivable activity, for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Customer Engagement: Actively communicate with customers to ensure timely payment remittance.
  • Past Due Account Resolution: Identify accounts with outstanding invoices, contact customers to review the status of their account, and resolve past due balances.
  • Cash Receipts: Prepare and accurately post cash receipts to customer accounts daily.
  • Collection Notes: Input collection notes into the ERP system for better visibility to management.
  • Collaboration: Partner with accounting staff to address issues and improve timely payment.
  • Confidentiality: Protect organizational value by keeping information confidential.
  • Issue Communication: Advise management of any issues in a timely manner.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require a bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or a related field, or equivalent experience. A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in Customer Service and/or Collections, Accounts Receivable is preferred.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field;
  • Minimum 1-3 years working experience in Customer Service and/or Collections, Accounts Receivable;
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, with ability to create pivot tables and formulas;
  • Experience in NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent ERP system;
  • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality;
  • Comfortable working in high-growth, fast-paced environments with large customers;
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills;
  • Effective verbal, listening, and written communication skills;
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines;
  • Must be extremely organized, driven, and goal-oriented.
