About the Job

As a CNA on our team, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of patients and residents. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing nursing care in post-acute care facilities
  • Checking vital signs, such as blood pressure and pulse, and reporting regularly to the broader nursing team
  • Observing resident conditions and alerting supervising staff to concerns or emergencies
  • Helping residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as toileting, grooming, personal hygiene, and feeding
  • Maintaining a clean and sanitary environment by changing linens, sanitizing surfaces, and performing other tasks
  • Serving as an important liaison between residents and healthcare staff
  • Offering daily companionship and comfort to residents
  • Communicating with family members and visitors to address their concerns
  • Moving residents safely and comfortably to and from exam tables, beds, and wheelchairs

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A current North Carolina Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
  • An understanding of nursing care procedures and related medical terminology
  • Effective organization skills and the ability to communicate with medical professionals, residents, and family members
