Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Obstetrics & Gynecology Associates of Hampton. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will provide exceptional patient care, support clinical procedures, and contribute to a positive practice environment.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience as a medical assistant, preferably in the OB/GYN field. You will be responsible for assisting physicians with patient care, clerical tasks, and organizational duties. Your attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment make you an excellent fit for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments. Perform vital signs, collect specimens, administer immunizations, and provide general care to patients.
  • Clerical Tasks: Manage electronic medical records, obtain lab reports, complete forms and requisitions, and maintain accurate records.
  • Organizational Duties: Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies. Ensure timely patient flow, manage schedules, and coordinate tasks with other staff members.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred
  • Medical Assistant certification and experience in OB/GYN field preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems and Microsoft Office applications
Estimated Salary Range

$40,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
