Job Overview

Tarkett is seeking an experienced Mill Operator to join their production team in Middlefield, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various production equipment and performing multiple functions to meet customer quality, color, and consistency specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setup and operate mill equipment to produce material to customer specifications.
  • Produce and prepare the correct amount of raw material to fill workload.
  • Ensure all batch tickets correspond correctly with order specifications.
  • Comply with existing safety standards and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
  • Perform 5s audits and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Load and unload presses, and transport materials to the next station in the manufacturing process.
  • Inspect materials for defects and inconsistencies, and complete production tickets and downtime sheets.
  • Maintain the company's green initiative and work in a fast-paced environment with frequent distractions.

Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and push objects up to 50lbs during a shift.
  • Adherence to strict safety and quality production standards.
  • Reach, bend, lift, and push objects weighing 3-50lbs continuously during the shift.
  • Comfortable working in extreme temperatures.
