Job Title: Civil Engineering Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineering Project Manager to join our team at Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. As a key member of our Waste Management Practice, you will be responsible for managing project teams to deliver engineering tasks, developing proposals, project budgets, and schedules, and ensuring quality control.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage project teams to complete engineering tasks, including airspace and earthwork volume calculations, technical report preparation, and design of stormwater management systems.
  • Develop proposals, project budgets, and schedules, and ensure timely project delivery.
  • Perform quality control and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and government officials to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Mentor and assist in the professional development of staff, including performance reviews and development goals.
Requirements:
  • 6-10 years' experience in civil engineering project management or a related field.
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering (or related field) and M.S. in Civil Engineering preferred.
  • Professional Engineer licensure (P.E.).
  • Proficient in technical software, including AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydraulic/hydrologic modeling software, and geotechnical modeling software.
  • Established clients/contacts in the Solid Waste client sector.
  • Ability to manage project portfolios in excess of $250,000 in annual professional fee revenues.
  • Experience in scope of service and budget development, and demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably.
  • Ability to solve complex problems in a professional setting.
  • Participation in client- and professional development-based organizations.
  • Excellent communication skills, including experience communicating with staff, clients, contractors, and government regulatory officials.
