We recognize the complexity of our clients' needs in the ever-changing healthcare system and aim to simplify one essential component of medical care by doing what we do best.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a broad range of laboratory procedures, including testing and tasks of the medical technologist/clinical laboratory scientist, without direct supervision.
  • Receive, accession, and process incoming specimens, evaluating and solving problems related to collection and processing of biological specimens for analysis.
  • Responsible for quality control procedures and documentation, recognizing deviations from expected results, analyzing and correcting problems, and documenting corrective actions taken.
  • Perform and document preventive maintenance procedures for laboratory equipment, identifying malfunctions or issues with equipment and performing troubleshooting when appropriate.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOP) in all applicable areas to assure accuracy of laboratory results, verifying and reporting results in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to and ensure laboratory staff adhere to OSHA, CLIA, CAP, HIPAA regulations.
  • Manage reagent and expendables inventory to ensure patient testing is not interrupted and utilize laboratory supplies in a cost-effective manner with a minimum of waste.
  • Assist with testing, implementation, and validation of new procedures and instrumentation.

Qualifications

  • Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Technician, or Clinical Laboratory Scientist Certification.
  • Louisiana license as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Technician.
  • Knowledge of laboratory techniques, PCR experience preferred.
  • Team player willing to work flexible hours.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
