About the Role

The History Instructor will be responsible for teaching assigned college classes in area high schools, providing quality instruction for student learning, and maintaining a positive learning environment. The instructor will work under the supervision of the Department Head and/or Lead Faculty, collaborating with colleagues to achieve academic excellence.

  • Teach assigned college classes in area high schools, using various instructional formats (on-ground, virtual, online, and hybrid).
  • Maintain records of attendance, evaluate student performance, assign grades, and utilize faculty feedback.
  • Participate in mandatory training as needed and perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Master's degree or Doctorate from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credit hours in history.
  • Demonstrated teaching excellence, commitment to academic excellence, and experience working with diverse populations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
Preferred Qualifications

We prefer candidates with:

  • College teaching experience and/or K-12 teaching experience.
  • Experience with alternative delivery instructional modes, including hybrid, online, and virtual teaching.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
