Electrical Engineer - Power Systems

Wood plc is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team as a Lead Electrical Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing Single Line diagrams, Schematics, and Wiring diagrams for our clients in the Heavy Industrial and Power Plant sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop Single Line diagrams, Schematics, and Wiring diagrams for Electrical Interface projects
  • Manage and plan resources for Electrical Interface projects
  • Conduct quality control of all deliverables within the scope of Electrical Interface projects
  • Liaise with Project Management, Clients, and other project disciplines to ensure successful project delivery
  • Prepare Electrical Equipment Specifications, Data Sheets, and Purchase Requisitions for Electrical equipment
  • Review Vendor Documents and assist in the preparation of power system cost estimates and defining scopes of work for project design and study proposals
Requirements:
  • Registered Professional Engineer
  • 10 to 25 years' experience with design of Power Systems for Heavy Industrial Installations
  • Previous experience in Electrical design in the field of Consulting Engineering in North America
  • Experience with Electrical System design, System Studies, Relay Coordination, Protection & Control
  • Familiarity with applicable codes, standards, and regulations used in North American Electrical power & process industries
