The Vascular Access Team at Arkansas Children's Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse II to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve outstanding outcomes.

Job Description:

The Vascular Access Team provides a range of services, including insertion and maintenance of vascular access devices, such as central lines and peripheral IVs. As a Vascular Access Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that all patients receive safe and effective care, prioritizing their needs and well-being above all else.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide high-quality nursing care to patients, families, and caregivers, adhering to evidence-based practices and standards.
  2. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  3. Insert and maintain vascular access devices, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the process.
  4. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, treatments, and outcomes.
  5. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices.
  6. Engage in ongoing education and professional development, staying current on the latest advancements in vascular access care.
  7. Mentor and support less-experienced team members, promoting a culture of collaboration and teamwork.

Requirements:

  • RN license (Compact State) - Arkansas State Board of Nursing (ASBN)
  • 1 year of experience in nursing, preferably in a pediatric setting
  • Demonstrated proficiency in inserting and maintaining vascular access devices
