Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Technician

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year

About the Job:

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team at Loves Travel Stops & Country Stores. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing light mechanical issues on diesel engines, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, and engine components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues on diesel engines, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, and engine components.
  • Assist customers with roadside services, providing preventative maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to company safety policies and procedures.
  • Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night shifts as needed.

Requirements:
  • Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds in close quarters and work in various temperatures.
  • Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation (paid by Loves).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in diesel mechanics or a related field preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in diesel mechanic repair; certifications such as ASE or CTI a plus.
