Job DescriptionThis role will involve managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining high-quality standards. You will work closely with supervisors, trade contractors, and suppliers to coordinate schedules, shop drawing requirements, and material deliveries. Your responsibilities will also include:
- Initiating, attending, coordinating, and conducting meetings and activities as directed by assigned V.P. Operations
- Monitoring project performance to ensure completion within established schedules and weekly report quantities, project budget, and quality standards
- Guiding employees in identifying, analyzing, and resolving existing or anticipated obstacles to meet task/project schedules
- Working with Project Coordinators in personnel alignment and scheduling to facilitate weekly action plans
- Assisting in timely billing, approval of invoices, regular review of job costs, reports, project history, and purchase order history
You will be responsible for reviewing and interpreting blueprints/shop drawings and other project documents to formulate accurate management approaches. This role also involves conducting project estimating, overseeing subcontracts, and monitoring weekly performance for conformance to contract agreements and schedules. Additionally, you will participate in employee performance reviews and cultivate a cooperative environment among managers, supervisors, fellow workers, and customers.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need a minimum of 4 years of experience in the Commercial and/or Residential electrical field, running jobs. You should have new construction experience, a valid driver's license, and knowledge of multi-family projects, fire alarm systems, and completion of an accredited apprenticeship program.
Physical RequirementsThis role requires standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting, and lifting up to 50 pounds. You must be able to speak English, hear to communicate, use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull objects, materials, controls, and tools. You will need to work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and occasionally work off platforms/scaffolding while wearing appropriate fall protection requirements. You must also be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, gloves, and safety toe, construction-grade work boots.
The ideal candidate will have close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and adjust and focus.
