Phlebotomy Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood and other specimens from patients, donors, and research participants. You will work closely with patients and colleagues to provide excellent patient care and education.
Key Responsibilities- Collect blood and other specimens from patients, donors, and research participants
- Prepare patient and collection equipment according to established specimen collection policies and procedures
- Instruct patients on proper collection of urine and stool specimens
- Develop professional working relationships with colleagues via direct and timely communication
- Record variances of standard policies and procedures in Patient Safety Net accurately and where required
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- WA State MA/Phlebotomy Certification
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers
- 6 months working in a fast-paced customer service environment
- Professional verbal and written communication
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adjust to changing workloads
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology
- 6 months phlebotomy experience preferred
- Previous experience working in an outpatient clinic
- Preferred EPIC/Cadence, answering phones/handling phone inquiries from patients and staff
