Acute Care Nursing Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Acute Care Float Pool team at Doctors Hospital of Augusta. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
Job Summary
- Assess, evaluate, plan, implement, and coordinate patient care.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to achieve patient goals and outcomes.
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and providing education to patients and families.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including test results and examination findings.
- Respond to emergency situations, such as Code Blue, and initiate appropriate protocols and procedures.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher).
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
- American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification.
- At least two years of full-time equivalent Acute Care RN experience in a designated area (less than two years may require approval by the Chief Nursing Officer).
