We are seeking a highly skilled Perioperative Nurse Specialist to join our team.

The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

As a Perioperative Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.

You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized plans of care that meet the unique needs of each patient.

Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that patients receive safe and effective care throughout their perioperative journey.

  • Initiate assessment and reassessment of patients based on their presenting problems and needs.
  • Synthesize pertinent patient data to identify nursing priorities and desired outcomes.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care that incorporate cultural considerations and address the unique needs of each patient.
  • Execute therapeutic and supportive interventions consistent with perioperative procedures.
  • Evaluate patient progress toward established outcomes and make adjustments to care plans as needed.

You will also be responsible for facilitating patient education and promoting healthy behaviors that support optimal recovery.

In addition to your clinical expertise, you will contribute to a positive work environment by modeling our core values and engaging in professional communication and documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current Registered Nurse licensure from the State of Nebraska or an approved compact state of residence.
  • Certification and/or instruction for practice area as required by State or Federal standards/regulations.
  • Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
