Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Director:
Oversee and ensure program compliance with the Department of State Hospitals (DSH) and company policies.
Act as the primary liaison with JBCT partners, including the DSH and local law enforcement.
Foster collaborative relationships with the Sheriff's Office team and support staff interactions.
Conduct monthly audits to ensure program adherence.
Manage personnel effectively, implementing corrective actions as necessary with support from the Health Services Administrator (HSA) or Program Manager (PM). Lead weekly Treatment Team meetings, reviewing patient Treatment Plans and providing guidance on admissions, transfers, and discharges.
Complete initial screenings for incoming and waitlisted patients after reviewing necessary documentation.
Review and approve all reports and communications submitted to the court.Provide clinical support to the team as needed.
Regularly participate in group sessions to ensure program compliance and effective treatment delivery.
Coordinate processes as required.Fill in for team members as needed, including conducting educational groups and documenting all findings in patient health records.
Assist in the orientation and training of new staff members.
Psychologist:
Adhere strictly to the Department of State Hospital and company policies regarding psychologist duties.
Utilize approved psychological assessments to evaluate patients every 30 days, ensuring compliance with court reporting requirements.
Assess cognitive functioning and administer relevant tests as needed. If malingering is suspected, apply appropriate tests to guide treatment.
Maintain timely submission of court reports and documentation as required.Participate in weekly Treatment Team meetings, providing clinical insights and support.
Document all patient interactions accurately in health records, ensuring compliance with facility requirements.
Assist in the training and onboarding of new employees.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
PhD or PsyD with licensure as a Psychologist in the state of employment.
Experience:
Minimum of one year as a licensed Psychologist in the state of employment, preferably with correctional facility experience.
Licenses/Certifications:
Current licensure as a Psychologist in the state of employment and lifesaving BLS certification through AHA.
Compliance:
Must maintain security clearance and pass background investigations as required.
Adhere to facility safety policies and procedures.
