Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) to join our team at Providence Hospital. As a key member of our anesthesia department, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the delivery of safe and effective anesthetic services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer general anesthetic, regional anesthetic, IV block, and monitored anesthesia care to patients undergoing operative or invasive procedures
  • Conduct preoperative anesthetic assessments, interpret data, and formulate anesthetic plans
  • Assemble equipment and supplies for anesthetic procedures and perform safety checks
  • Use proper technique, titration, and administration of anesthetic drugs, including controlled substances
  • Perform intraoperative evaluations with continuous visual and auditory monitoring of vital signs
  • Place arterial lines, monitor and replace fluids, blood, and blood products as needed
  • Transport patients to recovery areas and provide oral/written reports of intraoperative courses
  • Maintain accurate and complete medical records
  • Adhere to current Infection Control and Safety Standards

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing meeting the minimum standards set by the State of Alabama
  • Completion of an accredited course in anesthesia training
  • Licensure with the State of Alabama as a Registered Nurse and certification with the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
