- Salary and Benefits
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of $160,000-$180,000 per year, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, flexible spending account, and employee stock purchase plan.
- Job Responsibilities
The Electrical Estimating Department Manager will be responsible for leading the electrical estimating department, managing estimating activities, and ensuring effective communication practices within the team. Key responsibilities include:
- Assigning resources to multiple estimating pursuits and coordinating pre-bid attendance as needed
- Managing bid management, cost databases, estimating software, and implementing/improving all estimating practices
- Developing department protocol for best estimating practices and reviewing/approving bids, specifications, drawings, and contracts to proactively solve potential issues
- Fostering employee growth through training and performance evaluations and ensuring quality of services provided by the estimating staff meets project requirements
- Collaborating with the Preconstruction Manager to achieve department objectives and working closely with other department managers to meet corporate results/initiatives
- Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess:
- Proven high-level construction estimating experience, leadership, and mentoring skills
- Proven management experience, including teaching, developing, and mentoring others successfully
- Solid presentation skills and verbal/written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with industry-leading estimating software and understanding of contractual requirements, conceptual estimating, design drawings, and project specifications
