Job Description:

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in television news management, with a minimum of [X] years of experience in a senior role. Key responsibilities include:

• Oversight of daily news coverage, including planning, staffing, and training for the News Department
• Coaching and mentoring staff to elevate writing and storytelling skills
• Directing newsroom operations and schedules, ensuring seamless integration across all platforms
• Collaboration with producers to ensure quality control and brand consistency
• Development of news coverage strategy for the station and digital platforms
• Critiquing newscasts/website content to identify areas for improvement and provide mentoring feedback to news staff
• Providing content for newscasts and website as needed
• Assisting in the development of special projects and live events

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Journalism or related field
