Job Summary

Leidos is currently seeking an Electro-Mechanical Assembler to join our team in our Ladson, SC facility. As a member of our Security Enterprise Solutions team, you will be responsible for the rapid manufacturing of sub-assemblies and finished systems.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assemble cables, harnesses, panels, enclosures, and other small sub-assemblies
  2. Read and interpret work instructions, drawings, and schematics
  3. Install components and devices per assembly documentation
  4. Solder wires, PCBA's, and components
  5. Measure, cut, strip, and route wires on panels and/or enclosures
  6. Utilize a combination of basic hand tools and power tools
  7. Utilize measuring tools such as multi-meters, continuity checker, calipers, tape measure, and ruler to verify conformity of product
  8. Provide assembly feedback and suggested changes or improvements
  9. Complete build records and documentation as required
  10. Conducts quality checks on own work and may execute buddy checks on others work
  11. Maintain workspace cleanliness and organization utilizing 5S methodologies
  12. Follow manufacturing guidelines and procedures
  13. Adhere to company regulatory and compliance policies
  14. Participate in cross-training activities

Requirements

  • 1+ years' experience in manufacturing or research and development (R&D)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance (US citizenship required)
  • ESD Awareness
  • Average computer skills used for daily employee tasks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current or expired certification in any of the following: IPC 620, 610, 7711, 7721, or J-standard
