Registered Nurse Job Specialty:
Emergency Department Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour shifts, Day/Evening Rotation Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience:
- Minimum of 1.5 years of recent Level I or II Emergency Department experience, or 2+ years of recent Level 3/4 Emergency Department experience
Must-Have:
- Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks
- Successful completion of a Telemetry Test on Day 1 with a score of 85% or higher
Job Description:
- Work a variety of shifts including 7a-7:30p, 11a-11:30p, and 3p-3:30a
- Flexible with floating to areas such as Psych ED and Pediatric ED, caring for patients aged 15+ unless previous pediatric experience
- Required to work every other weekend and every other holiday
- Experience with EPIC and previous travel assignments preferred, though not required
- Critical care experience preferred
- Patient ratio is 1:4-5, depending on acuity
- Department is a very busy environment, capable of holding up to 120 treatment areas and serving patients per day
- Travel nurses will not be placed in trauma rooms during this assignment
