Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Property Manager to join our team at Artesian on Westheimer. This 660-unit community is located in the Energy Corridor area of Houston. The ideal candidate has experience as an Assistant Manager in the multi-family industry, strong accounting and collection skills, and excellent customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Post monthly rent, application fees, deposits, and collections received from residents into the company platform on a timely basis.
  • Perform leasing duties, including renewals, and collect monies due after move-out due to damages or additional cleaning charges.
  • Contact delinquent residents via letters and in-person for payment with a goal of $0 due by accounting month-end.
  • Filing eviction paperwork with property attorneys and attending court.
  • Moving out vacating residents in the computer system to ensure accurate property occupancy.
  • Prepare month-end close-out reports, including Occupancy month-end, Accounting month-end, and processing Statement of Deposit Accounts (SODA).
  • Stand in for the Property Manager if they are unavailable.
  • Weekend work may be required.
  • Adhere to all company policies, including safety and Fair Housing.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience as an Assistant Property Manager in the multi-family industry.
  • Working knowledge of property management platforms preferred.
  • Property accounting experience, rent collection, eviction process, and delinquency, with strong attention to detail.
  • Apartment leasing experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.

  • Possible exposure to caustics, solvents, oils, fumes, flammables, pesticides, etc.
