The Water Damage Specialist at the intermediate level has four key objectives:

  • Act as head of the water damage team for residential and small commercial losses
  • Knowledge and technical competence in IICRC's standard work practices on water and mold damage
  • Competence in the use, care, and maintenance of water extraction equipment, portable drying equipment, and moisture detection instruments
  • Ability to determine the extent, dimension, and distribution of moisture, and to document water losses

Intermediaries provide assistance in the development of basic level technicians and assist advanced technicians in complex or large-scale projects. They can also manage multiple losses for water, including the organization and management of temporary workers.

To qualify for this position, you must have 12 months of previous experience in the Basic Level of Water Damage in BELFOR or equivalent standard experience in the sector, as well as having directly participated in at least 25 water damage projects.

This position represents level 3 in the progressive itinerary of Water Damage. Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing daily project requirements and documenting progress
  • Notifying managers of progress and challenges encountered
  • Providing field documentation, photographic records, charts, and sketches for various TPA projects
  • Performing daily inspections of vehicle safety and maintenance, and keeping vehicles clean and in good condition

You will be required to travel and work at night and on weekends. You must inform your manager in a timely and accurate manner about the time worked and the equipment and consumables used.
