About the Role

The Clinical Therapist for Dysphagia Rehabilitation will provide specialized therapy services in an outpatient setting. This role requires a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology and relevant licensure, focusing on delivering exceptional care within a collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience in hospital settings, particularly with dysphagia patients, and be proficient in Medicare documentation. They will also have strong communication skills and be able to educate patients, family members, and caregivers on rehabilitation techniques.

Responsibilities
  • Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patient condition and establish plans of care
  • Develop and implement therapy programs utilizing standard speech therapy techniques
  • Document delivery of speech therapy services
  • Educate patients, family members, and caregivers on rehabilitation techniques
  • Promote physical rehabilitation services through community-based education activities, marketing opportunities, and support groups
  • Participate in planning for the provision of patient care services
  • Provide staff in-service upon returning from continuing education or professional conferences
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • Current Oklahoma license for Speech-Language Pathology or SLP license eligible with a temporary license
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence or complete within the first year under a licensed therapist as a CFY
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training during orientation prior to providing patient care
Estimated Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 per annum
