The Opportunity

We're seeking a skilled Clinical Support Specialist - Member Experience to join our team. As a valued member of our organization, you'll play a vital role in providing an exceptional experience for our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering high-quality venipuncture services to patients of all ages
  • Performing and assisting with extended scope duties, such as non-blood specimen collection, EKGs/ECGs, vitals, ear lavages, vaccines, PPD tests, and swabs
  • Maintaining high standards of in-office care through proper specimen labeling, handling, and processing, inventory upkeep, and tool sterilization
  • Managing dispensary responsibilities, including verifying counts, maintaining inventory, placing orders, receiving and stocking, filling, packaging, and labeling prescriptions for patient pick-up
  • Carefully following up on lab cases and assisting providers and virtual medical teams with clerical duties like biometric screening forms, medical record review, billing inquiries, and DOH reporting
  • Providing impeccable customer service by using C-I-CARE principles in all patient interactions and ensuring a positive in-office experience through patient intake, same-day schedule management, appropriate follow-up scheduling, strong knowledge of billing and insurance, monitoring patient feedback, and assisting with outreach as necessary
What You'll Need

To succeed in this role, you'll require:

  • A minimum of 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist outside of a training/externship environment
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in computer technology, including typing, navigating the internet, and using multiple software systems simultaneously
  • Experience working on collaborative, diverse, multi-disciplinary teams (additional experience with remote teams a plus)
  • A proven ability to display confidence and instill trust during the collection process while delivering individualized, human-centered, customer-focused care
  • A proven track record of persisting through change, consistently stepping up to take action on challenges, and learning quickly and effectively when faced with new situations or tasks
  • Phlebotomy experience and/or certification preferred
  • Experience with extended scope care, including non-blood specimen collection and processing, EKGs/ECGs, vitals, ear lavages, vaccines, PPD tests, and swabs preferred

This is a full-time role (40 hours/week) with 8-hour shifts generally taking place Monday-Friday between 7:30am-6:30pm, based at our offices located in Boston, Newton, and Cambridge, MA. Flex Lab Services Specialists lend support to multiple One Medical locations in a market, and location and schedule are subject to change.
