Exercise Physiologist

Job Summary

Ascension is seeking an experienced Exercise Physiologist to join our team in Greensburg, IN. As an Exercise Physiologist, you will be responsible for implementing and supervising physical exercise programs for patients, providing patient testing and assessment before and after rehabilitation, and planning and teaching exercise therapy for patients utilizing test data, patient status, and current medication regimen.

Responsibilities

• Implement and supervise physical exercise programs for patients
• Provide patient testing and assessment before and after rehabilitation
• Plan and teach exercise therapy for patients utilizing test data, patient status, and current medication regimen
• Monitor patient's response and revise plan accordingly
• Recognize contraindications and abnormal patient responses to exercise
• Respond appropriately to all situations including exercise cessation and referral to medical professionals

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required
• Certification specializing in Sports Medicine preferred
• Exercise Physiologist credentialed from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) preferred
• Bachelor's degree required
• Master's degree preferred
