Summer Recreation Supervisor

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Summer Recreation Supervisor to oversee the Adult Volleyball League at the City of Dubuque. As a key member of our Parks and Recreation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of this popular program.

The Adult Volleyball League Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating and supervising recreation activities with groups in adult summer and winter volleyball leagues, taking into account the needs and interests of individual members. This role involves setting up and tearing down volleyball nets, filling out score sheets for teams, collecting nightly scores and submitting them to the Recreation Supervisor, closing and locking bathrooms each night, maintaining park cleanliness, and communicating with staff regarding program decisions. You will also interact with the public, respond to patron comments and questions, administer first aid as needed, enforce rules and regulations, and promote products or services.

• You must be at least 18 years old and have a strong understanding of customer service principles. Knowledge of volleyball rules and regulations is preferred.
• Able to work in both indoor and outdoor settings under extreme weather conditions.

This position offers competitive pay, estimated to be around $13.56 to $14.40 hourly based on location and experience. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse community, gain valuable experience in recreation management, and develop your leadership skills.
