Data Engineer

This Data Engineer position is a key role in the development of AI/ML algorithms and data pipelines for a leading technology company. The successful candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, cloud services, and AI/ML development.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble large, complex data sets to support AI/ML algorithm implementation
Design and implement internal process improvements, including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability and optimizing data delivery
Build required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various data sources
Curate and maintain data stored in support of metrics and evaluation
Design, build, test, maintain, and automate data collection/pipelines
Develop dashboards for data analytics
Implement artificial intelligence/machine learning
Use Agile methodologies to develop software
Requirements:
Current Top Secret SCI clearance with CI poly
B.S. in Data Science, AI/ML, Computer Science, or related field
Minimum six (6) years of relevant experience as a Data Engineer/Scientist
Experience developing data pipelines and normalizing data, using AWS cloud services
Preferred Qualifications:
Full scope poly
M.S. or PhD in Data Science, AI/ML, Computer Science, or related field
Experience with Gitlab, DevSecOps utilizing test-driven development, Containers (Docker, Docker Compose)

EHS/Environmental Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate, listen to, and interpret instructions, occasionally operate tools and/or machinery with hands and arms and remain stationary for extended periods of time.
The employee will use protective equipment when working with chemicals, move between workstations, reach, and replace equipment, and move items weighing up to 40 lbs.

Location:
This position is based out of ARKA's nature-abundant Aurora, CO campus. Being situated at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, Aurora provides opportunities to enjoy all the beautiful nature that Colorado has to offer, while also being a 20-minute drive from downtown Denver and 15-minutes to the Denver International Airport.
Pay Range:
$130,000 - $190,000
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
