About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Evaluation Engineer to join our team at Boston Scientific. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for evaluating complex implantable medical device systems, analyzing system requirements, and performing system design verification and validation activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze system requirements and perform system interaction analysis to ensure seamless system functionality.
  • Coordinate system evaluation activities, including validation and verification, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality non-medical device software tools to support system design and evaluation functions.
  • Utilize multiple version control, defect tracking, and peer review tools to ensure efficient collaboration and quality assurance.
  • Apply knowledge of XML, XSD, and XSL to manage requirements and test assets.
  • Track system V&V efforts and maintain records using approved tracking management tools.
  • Conduct special studies to improve systems evaluation and engineering practices, and identify root causes of system quality issues.
  • Establish and promote a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System, and demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, with 5+ years of experience, or Master's degree with 3+ years of experience.
  • Ability to collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data, and develop conclusions and recommendations.
  • Experience with Perl, Python, HTML, scripting, or equivalent, and experience with change management and issue tracking tools such as JIRA, AccuRev, and Windchill.
  • Preferred requirements include 3+ years of experience in software/hardware engineering, automated and manual testing in a regulated industry, and experience with system development lifecycle processes.
