Traveling Phlebotomy Specialist

As a Phlebotomy Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately ordering, collecting, transporting, and processing all specimens for laboratory testing. You will also perform supply stocking, scanning of documents for EMR, and clerical duties.
Day and evening shifts are available, and you will be required to perform Venipuncture and Skin Puncture procedures. You will adhere to SOP in the use of handheld devices for specimen collection and ensure that STAT specimens are delivered to the Lab within 15 minutes of collection or pick up.
You will also be responsible for monitoring and clearing the Not Received report and collecting data for quality assurance programs. You will communicate complaints or problems to the department supervisor and understand and follow specific clinical protocols.
Required qualifications include a High School Diploma/GED or equivalent, Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (CPR, BLS) certification, and knowledge of standard phlebotomy techniques and appropriate blood processing and handling procedures.
