Job Summary:

The Department of Ophthalmology at VCU Health - MCV Physicians supports a large health system providing both primary and tertiary care. As an academic physician in the evolving field of ophthalmology, we strive to improve the vision and eye health of all people by excelling in patient care, education, and research.

Chief Purpose of this position:

This position is responsible for direct patient care and supervision in three outpatient settings. The successful candidate must maintain high clinical and ethical standards, adhere to compliance measures, and foster a high level of patient and staff satisfaction.

Position Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high clinical and ethical standards, adhering to compliance measures, and fostering a high level of patient and staff satisfaction. Residents and certified ophthalmic medical technicians will assist with patient care and ancillary testing.

Required Qualifications:

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Ophthalmology, with Corneal subspeciality training.
  • Possess/maintain a current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Virginia.
  • Must demonstrate expertise working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment.
