We are seeking a highly skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at Universal Health Services. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing computed tomography exams, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining the highest level of quality care.
Responsibilities- Perform computed tomography exams, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
- Verify patient orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Screen patients for contraindications to oral or IV contrast.
- Collaborate with hospital staff and nursing departments to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintain performance skills, adhering to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Current BCLS certification.
- 2 years of prior Computed Tomography and/or Radiographer experience preferred.
- Membership in related professional organizations preferred.
- Commitment to STHS's Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
- Graduate from an approved school in Radiologic Technology.
- Licensed as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) in the State of Texas.
- ARRT Certification (R) in Radiology (Technologists exempt from ARRT certification must meet Public Law requirements).
- ARRT Certification (C) in Computed Tomography preferred.
This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on patient safety and quality care. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team setting, communicate clearly with patients and staff, and maintain a high level of professionalism.
