Job Summary:

The Language Facilitator will work as a member of the educational team to facilitate the use of assistive technology for students with communication needs. This role requires collaboration with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to ensure the needs of students are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate the use of assistive technology to enable students to communicate with teachers, administrators, and peers.
• Collaborate with the educational team to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
• Provide instructional support and reinforcement as needed.
• Assist in collecting data for student progress monitoring.
• Gradually lead students toward more responsibility for their own education and communicative competence.
• Participate in the IEP process and provide input on facilitation services.
• Follow school policies and perform other duties as directed by the building principal.

Requirements:

• Two years of college or a high school diploma and a passing score on the Work Keys test.
• Must obtain a bus license and complete monitor training.
