This position will provide research support to National Institute on Aging-NIH funded grants on dementia, neuroimaging, and other biomarkers of neurodegeneration in aging.
Key Responsibilities- Screen and identify potential participants for neuroimaging studies
- Recruit and consent participants into studies
- Perform neurologic, basic physical exams, and blood draws
- Conduct structured health history interviews and questionnaires
- Coordinate travel arrangements and schedule MRI and PET studies
- Maintain study-related case-report forms and required documentation
- Assist with IRB submission and recruitment/enrollment data management
- Participate in diagnostic consensus conferences
- Ability to communicate effectively with older adults, some with cognitive impairment
- Ability to work in a dynamic, interdisciplinary study team
- Ability to perform general laboratory duties and specialized nursing duties
