Job Summary:

The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join their team in providing direct patient care in assigned areas. This is a unique opportunity to work with a diverse population and contribute to the achievement of SCF's vision of a Native Community that enjoys physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care in assigned areas, utilizing expertise in nursing and medical knowledge to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Collaborate with the SCF Nurse Practitioner Team to develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of the patient population.

Maintain current certification by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), and adhere to all requirements for associate medical staff membership and required privileges of service.

Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in the field of nursing and medicine.

Requirements:

Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Alaska.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; ACLS, NRP, ATLS, ALSO, and PALS certifications may be required for specialty and scope of practice.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

An additional condition of employment, the successful applicant must be able to comply with the applicable standards of SCF's Background Check Policy, including the requirements imposed by the Alaska Barrier Crimes/Conditions and Background Checks regulations, the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act, the Crime Control Act of 1990, and the mandatory and permissive exclusion provisions of the Social Security Act.
