Job Summary

As a Physical Therapist Assistant at VibrantCare Rehabilitation, you will play a vital role in delivering quality patient care under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. Your training and education will enable you to assist the physical therapist in carrying out prescribed treatment programs.

Essential Functions
  • Understand and adhere to applicable state Practice Acts and laws governing Physical Therapist Assistants.
  • Review and adhere to the VibrantCare Clinical Operations Policies & Procedures Manual annually.
  • Complete required Medicare compliance trainings and adhere to regulations and policies.
  • Complete OSHA training annually and adhere to standards and regulations.
  • Clean and prepare treatment areas and equipment according to OSHA guidelines.
  • Carry out skilled treatment programs as directed by a licensed physical therapist.
  • Communicate patient comments and activities clearly to therapists via verbal or written word.
  • Document patient information using accepted medical terminology and format.
  • Complete written documentation (daily notes, charge tickets, etc.) legibly, appropriately, and in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain open and respectful communication with colleagues, physicians, patients, family members, third-party payors, and others.
  • Attend and/or participate in facility meetings as directed by the Center Manager.
  • Complete ongoing continuing education coursework to meet state licensure requirements.
  • Maintain a current CPR certification that meets state licensure requirements.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Utilize time efficiently to meet productivity requirements.
  • Participate in and present clinical in-services as directed.
  • Maintain current awareness of general changes in the healthcare field and specific issues impacting physical therapy practice.
  • Play a significant role in a specific area of center operations as agreed upon between employee and Center Manager.
  • Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
