Orthopaedic Solutions Management Patient Access Representative II

The Patient Access Representative II - Benefits/Authorizations is a key role within our team, responsible for ensuring seamless patient access to orthopaedic care. This position requires strong communication and organizational skills to accurately obtain and document referrals and authorizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with primary care physicians and insurance companies to obtain referrals for office visits.
- Ensure all authorizations are properly documented in our system.
- Advise patients of potential issues with obtaining authorization prior to scheduled appointments.
- Collaborate with the Billing/Collections department to research and obtain authorizations for denied claims.
- Work with the Benefit Verification Rep to confirm benefits when issues arise.
- Utilize insurance websites to obtain referrals/authorizations.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
About You:
- High school graduate with 1+ years of experience in a healthcare environment.
- Registration, scheduling, and healthcare benefits experience a plus.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with ability to multitask and handle high call volumes.
- Working knowledge of Windows-based computer environment and typing skills.
