Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct supervision to Medical Assistants, clerical staff, and student positions
  • Accurately document patient height, weight, and vitals
  • Perform POCs, PFTs, and EKGs as ordered by physicians
  • Administer medications, injections, and patient education within scope of practice and TTUHSC policies
  • Communicate with patients via telephone and EMR per clinic protocols
Requirements
  • Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent
  • Graduation from an approved certified program for assistants in the required specialty
  • Certification by an approved accredited certifying agency in the specialty
  • Minimum of two years of directly related experience
Working Conditions

Work is performed under usual office and clinic conditions. May be stressful when working under emergency conditions.
