Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Credit Analyst to join our team in Banking. As a Credit Analyst, you will play a crucial role in determining the creditworthiness of potential clients based on financial statements, borrowing history, and market conditions.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting Financial Analysis: You will analyze financial data to assess the creditworthiness of potential clients and prepare appraisals for loan review and approval.
  • Collaborating with Loan Officers: You will work closely with Loan Officers to request necessary financial information for analysis, such as balance sheets, tax returns, and financial statements.
  • Evaluating Credit Strengths and Weaknesses: You will determine the strengths and weaknesses of client credit to determine the terms of the loan.
  • Generating Reports: You will run reports to show past or current maturities and request necessary information.
  • Preparing Underwriting/Credit Memos: You will occasionally prepare underwriting/credit memos after collecting all financial information and circulating memos for approvals from the appropriate parties.

In addition, you will be responsible for generating various monthly reports, tracking borrowing base and marketable securities, maintaining and updating nCino system, responding to subpoenas dealing with credit information, ordering appraisals, conducting appraisal reviews, and serving as liaison for appraisal vendors.

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, and a working knowledge of collateral instruments.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum two (2) years' experience in financial analysis, banking, or a related field.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Working knowledge of RMA and/or Moody training.

This position consists primarily of sustained standing and sitting, frequent use of PC, occasional lifting of basic office files or equipment up to 20 lbs, and normal office environment with comfortable internal temperatures and low-level noise.
