Job Summary:

The Advanced Casemaker Operator is a highly skilled technical position responsible for operating a variety of Casemaking machinery both manual and/or computerized to produce a collection of cover types.

This operator is responsible for running the casemaker machine as well as running any other machines and/or equipment in the department as required by the supervisor.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge or the ability to learn the operational and mechanical flow of the Horauf and Kolbus Casemaker machines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate Casemaking machinery to produce a collection of cover types
  • Run the casemaker machine and other machines/equipment in the department as required
  • Perform minor maintenance on equipment as needed
  • Move around the department and work/train on different equipment as required

Requirements:

  • Must have a strong aptitude for mechanical assembly operations
  • Experience in operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of production equipment
  • Knowledge of glue, temperature, and humidity, and how it affects the composition of material a plus
  • Basic computer skills required
  • High attention to quality and detail
  • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime with short notice
