Job Summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles is seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Swim Lesson Instructor to join our Aquatics team. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality swim lessons to members of all ages and skill levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective swim lessons to members of all ages and skill levels.
  • Ensure the safety of all class participants at all times.
  • Maintain accurate records of class attendance and progress.
  • Communicate effectively with members, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest swim instruction techniques and best practices.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current American Safety & Health Institute or American Red Cross or American Heart Association BLS for the Professional Rescuer, Standard/Community First Aid certifications and Emergency Oxygen Administration.
  • Ability to swim with proficiency and endurance.
  • Experience in instructing swim lessons or coaching aquatic programs.
