Lead Researcher and Business Growth Strategist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Economic Development Manager to join our team at the State of Arkansas. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead our research efforts, develop business growth strategies, and promote industrial expansion in the state.

About the Role
  • Lead the activities of a professional staff by assigning projects, offering input into policy interpretation, and providing support and recommendations.
  • Review staff reports for accuracy, organize information, and compile findings into year-end activity reports.
  • Promote industrial expansion by establishing and maintaining personal contact with management representatives of businesses throughout the United States and overseas.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research on economic trends, industry patterns, and market conditions to inform business growth strategies.
  2. Business Development: Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, government officials, and international organizations.
  3. Project Management: Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and effective collaboration with internal and external teams.
  4. Economic Reporting: Prepare comprehensive economic reports, including data analysis, trend identification, and strategic recommendations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, marketing, or a related field, plus six years of experience in program organization and administration, including two years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
  • Proven track record of success in economic development, business growth, and project management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
