We are seeking an experienced Electrocardiogram Specialist to join our Cardiac Care team at Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to our hospital's mission to lead medicine through unparalleled quality, safety, service, and innovation.

Job Summary

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a high level of technical expertise and interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for performing electrocardiograms (12-lead EKGs), Holter monitor applications, and exercise/treadmill stress tests, as well as processing and transmitting data to designated software applications.

You will also ensure that exams are available for physician interpretation, including paperwork and reconciliation of exams. This position collaborates with all members of the patient care team to deliver seamless and efficient care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform electrocardiograms (12-lead EKGs) and Holter monitor exams, requiring precise placement of electrodes for accurate EKG data.
  • Process and transmit EKG, Holter monitor, and stress test data to designated software applications.
  • Ensure exams are available for physician interpretation, including paperwork and reconciliation of exams.
  • Collaborate with all members of the patient care team to deliver seamless and efficient care to patients.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of one year of experience as a technician performing electrocardiograms (12-lead EKGs), Holter monitor applications, and/or stress tests.
  • Certification as a Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCI) or equivalent.
  • Basic computer knowledge, including proficiency in operating multiple computer systems, such as Hospital/Radiology/Cardiology Information Systems and Office software.
  • Strong interpersonal and team player skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, family members, and co-workers.
