Job Summary

As an Emergency Nurse at New London Hospital, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department environment. You will be responsible for assessing symptoms, planning interventions, implementing treatment plans, evaluating responses to interventions, and revising plans based on overall effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to provide age-appropriate care to patients in the emergency department.
• Adhere to established practice standards and procedures at New London Hospital in the administration of medications and in-patient care activities.
• Document care provided using hospital standards.
• Provide education to patients and families based on assessment of learning needs.
• Follow the Standards of Practice established for the Emergency Services Department.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of clinical practice required.
• ED experience preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current state license.
• ACLS and BLS Required.
