Job Summary:

The Hotel Cleaning Specialist at Strand Hospitality Services plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for guests by ensuring the cleanliness and appearance of guest accommodations and public spaces.

This position involves a range of tasks, including:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guest Service:
    • Greet and welcome guests, offering assistance and responding to their needs promptly and courteously.
    • Provide exceptional service to guests, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance:
    • Empty housekeepers' trash and linen bags.
    • Carry trash to dumpster.
    • Deliver rollaway beds and cribs to guestrooms.
    • Turn mattresses as directed by management.
    • Stock supplies needed for linen closets.
    • Vacuum public areas and corridors.
    • Mop vending machine areas and keep machines clean.
  • Housekeeping and Laundry:
    • Strip beds and/or clean rooms when needed.
    • Check lights and change bulbs.
  • Grounds and Facilities:
    • Maintain outside grounds daily.
  • Teamwork:
    • Assist with luggage handling.
    • Assist in the unloading and storing of deliveries.

    • Quality of Cleanliness:
      • Ensure a high level of cleanliness and attention to detail in all areas of the hotel.
    • Efficiency/Production:
      • Work efficiently to complete tasks and meet deadlines.

      • Ensure guest rooms and public areas are clean and well-maintained.

      • Work in a fast-paced environment, frequently standing, walking, and bending.
    Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
  • The ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
  • A valid driver's license (if applicable).
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
