Closing Specialist Job Description

Horizon Farm Credit is seeking a skilled Closing Specialist to join our team. As a Closing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in guiding approved loans through the origination and closing process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Closing Support: Ensure all conditions for approved loans are met before sending them to the processing team.
  • Documentation Support: Confirm all needed documentation from the borrower is collected before moving to loan processing.
  • Organization & Time Management: Maintain workflow and queue maintenance according to defined workflows, and review reports and loan files in the closing pipeline to keep loans moving toward closing.
Requirements:
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, quality and solution-focused.
  • Detail-oriented, independent judgment skills, and strong organizational skills.
  • Adaptable and flexible to a changing work environment.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to be collaborative and the ability to develop and work well in a team atmosphere.
  • Ability to work independently with general supervision and proven self-starter.
  • Knowledge of computer software applications, which may include but are not limited to: Adobe, MS Excel, MS Word, CRM, SharePoint, AgDocs, Accounting systems/mainframe/front end, Credit Delivery or other document generation software, report generation, vendor ordering software, and collateral database tracking.
