About this Opportunity: We are partnering with a well-respected school district in Mount Prospect, IL to hire a highly motivated and passionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a contract position. This is a 13-week assignment with a generous compensation package that includes competitive pay rates of $115,000 - $130,000 per year, based on location and experience.

Job Description: The successful candidate will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to provide comprehensive speech and language services that support students' academic and social development. Responsibilities include conducting assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students. They will develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with goals for students with speech and language needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with goals for students with speech and language needs.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.

Required Qualifications: To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology or a related field, and a state SLP license in Illinois. Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred, as is knowledge of speech and language development, assessment tools, and therapeutic techniques. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are also essential.
