About the Role

Bixal is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Knowledge Management and Organizational Learning initiatives. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving impactful change and fostering collaboration across projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expertise and guidance to a portfolio of large and small Knowledge Management and Organizational Learning focused projects.
  • Motivate and mentor team members to bring their best to their work.
  • Ensure high-quality outputs, deliverables, and overall implementation.
  • Foster collaboration and adaptive management across projects and practices to ensure impactful implementation.
  • Serve as a thought leader and representative for Bixal in the wider development community.
  • Support the development of Bixal's Knowledge Management and Organizational Learning strategy and vision.
  • Encourage and support internal and external learning initiatives to improve impact across the organization and the industry.
  • Drive organizational growth and competitive advantage through continuous innovation and adaptation to changing market dynamics.
  • Participate in client events and forums to positively represent the organization and develop and maintain relationships with the industry.
  • Support the capture and development of new business opportunities to expand Bixal's presence.
  • Lead proposal solutioning, technical writing, and content creation.
  • Further define technical objectives by roles and responsibilities to inform staffing structures and level of effort for proposals.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree plus 8 years progressive experience in Knowledge Management, Organizational Learning and/or CLA with a focus on USAID.
  • Proven Knowledge Management and Organizational Learning and CLA to support international development projects and activities funded by USAID.
  • A willingness to bring this experience to other agencies in the USG.
  • Experience managing a diverse and dispersed team.
  • Business development experience including proposal writing and teaming.
  • Understanding of web design and development and how to work across web, KM, comms and MEL.
  • A comprehensive understanding of USAID Washington and mission operations, as well as their program cycle and the CLA framework.
  • Contract and budget management experience.
