Job Title: Pediatric Developmental and Behavioral Clinic Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Pediatric Developmental and Behavioral Clinic team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, triage, assessment, planning, and evaluation of patient care plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Obtain and accurately record patient vital signs, reporting abnormal values to treating providers.
  • Document patient histories, medical, surgical, and social, related to the clinic visit and as dictated by clinic procedure.
  • Assist with patient check-in, administer medications and treatments under the direction of a physician or APP.
  • Participate in in-office procedures, document results in the Electronic Health Record (EHR), and perform review and triage of incoming test results, patient requests, and pharmacy renewals.
  • Facilitate call-backs to patients as necessary, assist in scheduling patients for in-person and telehealth visits, and participate in nurse visits, including medication review, education, and follow-up.
  • Delegates tasks deemed appropriate per licensure of LPN and/or MA, adheres to AMC's regulatory agency and internal compliance policies, and completes continuous/annual education related to clinic specialty.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree from a state-accredited Registered Nursing program.
  • NYS current RN licensure to practice professional nursing.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Certification in specialty, Ambulatory setting preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from physicians, patients, and their family members or other employees within the work setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
  • Experience with electronic health records.
  • Ability to give medications via all routes and calculate medication doses.
